Planteray Barbados 5-Year Old Rum blends both pot and column still rums in the authentic Barbadian style from our own Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery, founded in 1893 by George Stade. After ageing for 3 years next to the beach, the Barbados casks travel by sea to France, experiencing “dynamic ageing” along the way. A second maturation in ex-Ferrand casks – the signature Planteray double-ageing technique – for a total of 5 years of ageing adds remarkable roundness and structure.
